The Job

As a SysOps Engineer, you’ll collaborate with architects, business operations, DBAs, developers, and software development engineers in test, in their day-to-day work.  You will ensure that both our AWS public hosts, and our private cloud hosting VMWare virtual environments, hosts, storage and networking backbone can support our rapidly growing business.  You will support our Development Operations and Development teams to ensure that our products are secure and reliable for our customers.

This role will also play a critical part as we move to from a Windows to Linux footprint.  You will work with our Architects and Development Operations team to build scalable and resilient systems based on Linux.

Helpful Skills and Experience

  • You are currently working as a Systems Operations Engineer supporting commercial software in a hosted data center using VMWare V Center and or VCAC
  • You are able to build and maintain Linux virtualized environments for a commercial software company.
  • You have experience with private cloud networking including Active / Passive data center topologies
  • You have worked with Active Directory enabled Linux implementations
  • You have worked in an organization that supports continuously delivered software across multiple business lines.
  • You have experience with Nimble or SAN\NAS technologies
  • You can support Windows environments including Windows 2008 R2
  • You have experience with ISCSI
  • You have experience with organizations deploying infrastructure as Code on AWS or running Windows\Linux servers on AWS.
